[b]刚听了电脑里下了很久的一首cigarettes and chocolate milk，受不了了，完全听上瘾了！比较火星，第一次听说这个人。:doh: 查了一下来头不小。翻唱过Across the universe,为《Shrek》翻唱了“Hallelujah”。在《断臂山》里面他也参与了创作，唱过《弄臣》。[/b]

Rufus Wainwright华美的流行风格可以追溯到Tin Pan Alley（20世纪初的一种流行音乐形式）风格，酒馆音乐甚至是歌剧风格。他于1973年出生于加拿大蒙特利尔一个音乐家庭，双亲Loudon Wainwright和Kake Mcgarrigle都是民谣音乐界的杰出人物。他由母亲独立抚养，六岁开始练钢琴，十三岁时随他的母亲、伯母Anna和姐姐Martha以the McGarrigle Sisters and Family为名开始巡回演出。一年以后，他被Juno提名为最佳新人，而同时他的单曲《I’m A-Runnin》也获得加拿大Genie奖最佳电影主题曲提名。在十几岁就被称为同性恋的他青少年时期醉心于歌剧，更视Dith Piaf、Al Jolson、Judy Garland为偶像，在歌剧中找到了安慰，在Montreal's McGill University学习后他由古典变成摇滚与流行乐手，成为一名蒙特利尔俱乐部巡回演出的一名固定成员之后，他赢得了许多歌迷。在他的父亲把他的录音带推荐给Van Dyke Parks,后者把录音带又推荐给Dream Works exec Lenny Waronker公司后，他得到了一纸合约。
1998年，他以同名专辑《Rufus Wainwright》出道即被滚石杂志誉为最佳新进艺人，并且也被纽约时代杂志、娱乐周刊、纽约人杂志、洛杉机时代杂志、华盛顿邮报评定为该年度十大最佳专辑，1999年还获得加拿大Juno音乐奖最佳另类专辑奖。
2001年5月发行了专辑《Poses》，这张专辑以走精致、不落俗套、具大胆音速结构的流行音乐再度获得盛赞。
Rufus Wainwright在个人第三张专辑《Want One》中用他擅于结合感官与环境的叙事文笔层次超越框架局限，因为他相信歌曲自己会说话，只要听者用心聆听，自然会知道他想阐述的意念。许多时髦风尚的开创者都称Rufus Wainwright是个技艺高超的出色艺人，也是新世代中最受期待的后续人选！

不过我很喜欢他唱的那些插曲
专集的话以前有下过.不过整张听不是那么听的很下去..没耐性

我觉得最新这张<Release the Stars>吧...我在音乐推荐帖里贴过~ 他的专辑我都有，非常喜欢他声音中那种寂寞，慵懒的感觉 到家了，可以开始下他的专辑啦.......
